Winter conference of the British Agricultural History Society
Muck into Gold: Trade in Agricultural Goods, from the fourteenth to the twentieth century

This is a one-day conference addressing themes of trade and commerce of the products of the land in Britain and internationally between medieval and modern times. Papers will examine the marketing of agricultural goods in medieval England; the early modern North Sea grain trade; the Anglo-Danish trade of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and its demands for land and energy; and the modern supermarket and the international food trade.

Speakers are James Davis (Queens University Belfast), Richard Hoyle (University of Reading), Sofia Henriques (Lund University) and Shane Hamilton (University of York).
