Community: concept, history and transmission
In this session, we propose to advance the research, multidisciplinary and comparative, of the analytical notion of community and its historical and present practices. For this, we propose to return to the debates around the concept of community and that of the peasant community in particular, to reflect on the way in which it relates to different theoretical perspectives and different ways of conceiving historical subjects. We invite researchers who have dealt with the study of peasant communities, both from a theoretical point of view and from the historical research of specific communities, in any spatio-temporal field, and from different disciplinary approaches. The community as a subject of rights, the community as a regulator of the territory, the community as a counter-hegemonic culture, are just some of the possible angles of approach. We are also interested in the community in change, the study of permanence and ruptures, as well as the analysis of the processes of community cultural transmission.
