Call for Graduate Student Papers:
Annual Meeting of the Agricultural History Society

The Agricultural History Society invites applications for a graduate student workshop to be held the day before its 2024 annual conference in Las Cruces, NM. This year’s theme is “Borderlands, Marginal Spaces, and Agriculture In-Between.” Submissions should reflect this theme but may be cover any region or time. All accepted papers will be reviewed by a panel of distinguished scholars. Workshop participants should also submit a paper proposal for the full conference that runs from June 6-8.

Graduate students interested in this workshop should submit a 250-word abstract and a CV by December 1, 2023. Notifications of acceptance will be sent via email by January 1, 2024. Accepted presenters will have until May 1, 2024 to submit completed papers, not to exceed 25 pages. All submissions and inquiries should be emailed to Peter.Kopp@ucdenver.edu.

In support of travel, the AHS will provide $250 for each student who is selected for the workshop and is on the AHS conference program. The Boston University History Department will provide a $250 prize for the best paper.
